Tandoori Chicken Curry
Curry on a diet?
Believe it or not this is entirely possible ( and doesn’t taste like a ‘diet’ curry – you know the ones, those microwaveable ones that taste like crap and are about a quarter of the size of a normal one
I started using The Spice Tailor recently after seeing them as Taste Of London in June, and I am already a huge fan and had to share a recipe.

The sell a sauce “kit” which include a sauce, packet of spices and chutni- its super easy to use and tastes INCREDIBLE
I am very short on time at the moment, so the fact there is minimal prep, and is so low maintenance massively appeals to me.
Below is a recipe of theirs I have been using
Serves 3
Ingredients
· 400g Chicken breast
· 1 packed The Spice Tailor Tandoori Fast Paste
· 125g microwaveable rice
· 1 tsp vegetable oil
· 1 small red onion , chopped
· 2 Peppers, finely chopped
· 70 ml chicken stock ( prepared as per the instructions on the stoc packet)
· ½ packet of the Spice Blend ( provided)
Preheat the oven to 200c
Cover the chicken in the Fast Paste- they say to leave it to marinade for as long as possible, but I was short on time , and probably left it for a maximum of 10 mins and it tasted great)
Oil the baking tray and roast the chicken for 10 minutes ( ensure this is cooked through)
Remove from oven, put the chicken pieces on a plate and sprinkle with a good pinch of the Spice Blend
Add the stock and “swill” round the baking tray, sraping any marinade off the tray at the same time
Heat the oil in a large frying pan and fry the onion for a few minutes, then add the pepper. Fry until the onion is softened and the peppers are cooked with still a bit of crunch. Add the rice, stock/juices from the the tray and chicken
Turn down to a simmer , stir and cook until everything is heated through (about 3 minutes)
Sprinkle over about ½ tsp of the Spice Blend provided
Done!
