Just for a bit of change , I thought I would tell you a bit more about me and why I became a nutritionist!
I am Katie, ( on the left!) I am 29 St Albans born and bred
I graduated from the University of Leeds with a 2:1 degree in Medical Sciences. I Decided against going on to become a doctor- it didn’t drive me, excite me, get me up in the mornings- however, nutrition did! Since then have done 3 nutrition courses, and finally took the plunge last year, and set up my own company
Like most girls my age, I like my cocktails- my favourites are Bellinis and French Martinis. I wouldn’t tell anyone to cut alcohol out completely, unless this is what they really want to do
I have a springer/cocker spaniel called Evie
I am an Aries!
I worked as the account manager for a law firm before doing this- so a big change!
I am not a huge fan of watching educational tv in my spare time- unless it’s a topic that really interests me, and I tend to then use audible..
.. Instead , not going to lie, I like my reality tv; Love Island, Made in Chelsea , Only Way is Essex etc!
I learned the hard way how to look after myself- I suffered from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for a large chunk of my teens , so my health had to become my number one priority from an early age. However, trying to sift out what was GOOD advice, from what was purely there to try and flog you a crap product and advice that was downright dangerous!- was hard!! It was therefore a top priority when I started out learning more about nutrition and the body as a whole, that everything I did was backed by scientific research and so that I could educate those on what is fact or fiction;rather than based on media hysteria
At 17 I spent some time in Cape Town, working with Stunt horses on a film set!
I am a big fan of mindset stuff- favourites are Tony Robbins, Jen Sincero and Jack Canfield ( if you want any recommendations, let me know!)
