I would say at least 90% of my clients have asked me this- this is likely due to the fact that carbs are currently being demonised, so as fruit is a carb, it is being dragged through the mud at the moment.
Stop being so concerned about sugar, and focus on the amount of calories they are having.
The majority of fruits out there are low in calories- my recommendations are anything with -berry at the end- so most of my clients meal plans are high in strawberries, raspberries and blueberries
Ones to watch out for, because they are higher in calories, are bananas and mangoes, but again these are fine in moderation and are useful before training, as they are a source of quickly available carbs.
Don’t forget fruit is full of vitamins and minerals which are going to help you look and feel amazing, not to mention they are high in fibre, which is essential for making you feel full and keeping your blood sugar levels steady, meaning you feel more satisfied with a meal and are less likely to fall victim to cravings!
